Buses are limited to residences more than 2 miles from school.

For students safety:

Do not cross major streets to get to a bus stop.

Bus will not go through steep dips in the road.

Bus will not go down dirt roads on rainy days.

Students need to be at the bus stop 10 minutes before the scheduled time.

Greetings to Bus Riders

The safety of the students to and from school is of primary importance to the Toltec School District. Riding a school bus is a privilege, not a right. Students must adhere to the school rules of conduct. Discipline for violation of procedures may include student loss of bus transportation.

Bus Rider Rules

  • Students demonstrate safe and appropriate behavior at the bus stop and while entering or exiting the bus.
  • Be courteous and respectful and follow the directions of the driver at all times.
  • Stay in your assigned seats facing the front with your feet on the floor and out of the aisle.
  • Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself and all items remain inside the bus.
  • Do not display any verbal (shouting, singing) or physical behavior (touching, pushing) that disrupts the ride.
  • On the bus there is no eating, drinking, or gum chewing.
  • Do not bring illegal and dangerous items (tobacco, alcohol, drugs, weapons, explosive devices, lighters, etc.).
  • Inappropriate or distracting items are not allowed on the bus (animals, insects, glass, toys, balloons, laser lights, etc.).
