Math Competition

November 07, 2025

Our amazing Mathletes proudly represented us at the 20th Annual Pinal County Middle School Math Competition, where about 150 students from across the county showcased their math skills and competitive spirit!

Out of the 11 talented students we sent, three—Jacquelyn Maddux, Logan Fisher, and Esperanza Castillo Lauro—advanced to the final individual round, where they battled through to the third round before being eliminated. What an incredible achievement!

In the Team Round, the powerhouse pair Jacquelyn Maddux and Roberto Chavez advanced to the finals and earned an impressive 3rd Place Overall! 🏆

A huge round of applause to all our Mathletes together with their Math coaches, Mr. Arjay Despalo (Toltec Elementary School), Mr. Darwin Lico (Arizona City Elementary School)  and Mrs. Jennie Galay (Gifted and Talented Education Coordinator) for their hard work, perseverance, and teamwork.

You’ve made us all so proud—your dedication truly adds up to success!
